Snapline is a macOS menu-bar app. It captures a region of your screen and turns it into cleaned text on your Mac.
Snapline makes no network requests. There is no account, no sync, no analytics, and no telemetry. History is a local SQLite database on your Mac. Nothing is sent to us, to Apple beyond the App Store itself, or to anyone else.
OCR uses Apple’s on-device Vision framework. Optional AI actions use on-device Foundation Models when macOS 26 and a model are present; they do not call a cloud API. If those are missing, the actions are unavailable. That is shown, not hidden.
Screen Recording is the only permission Snapline asks for. It is required to capture the region you select. English OCR only.
Snapline is a paid Mac App Store app. The purchase is handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
